New Jersey Sports Betting Handle Climbs 8.1% to $814.2M for Month of May

According to the latest monthly revenue report released by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, the state’s licensed retail and online sportsbooks posted a combined handle of $814,270,654 for the month of May. The latest figures mark an 8.1% jump on April’s handle of $748M.

Ohio Set for Legal Sports Betting in 2022 as Senate Passes Legislation

Following a last-minute overhaul of the legislation, Senators have voted by 30-2 to pass Senate Bill 176 that will see legal sports betting coming to Ohio in 2022. Once signed into law, the legislation will allow Ohio gamblers to place wagers on all sporting events both professional and collegiate.

Michigan Sports Betting Handle Drops to $257M for Month of May

The latest monthly revenue report from the Michigan Gaming Control Board reveals that the state's licensed sportsbooks posted a sports betting handle of $257,748,035.08 for the month of May falling well short of the state's record-breaking handle of $383,691,892 posted in March 2021. 

Oregon Sports Betting Handle Tops $27M for Month of May

The latest monthly sports wagering revenue report from the Oregon State Lottery reveals a sports betting handle of $27,780,213 for the month of May. This marks an 8.9% increase on April's handle of $25,323,061 making May the biggest sports betting month since February and the third highest handle of 2021. 

Louisiana Inches Closer to Legal Sports Betting as Governor Signs First of Two Bills

Governor John Bel Edwards has signed the first of two sports betting bills that will pave the way for legal sports betting in Louisiana. HB 697 has addressed many of the most important aspects of sports gambling in the state and places the Louisiana Lottery Corporation in control of the local market.
