The Canadian Senate’s Banking, Trade and Commerce Committee has referred sports betting bill C-218 back to the Senate following two days of debate and testimonies. The Senate will now sit for a final reading of the bill before voting on approval.

The latest monthly sports wagering revenue report from the Oregon State Lottery reveals a sports betting handle of $27,780,213 for the month of May. This marks an 8.9% increase on April's handle of $25,323,061 making May the biggest sports betting month since February and the third highest handle of 2021.
