Recently the North Dakota state House has passed a bill that could potentially allow for online sports betting through an amendment to the state constitution. The bill will now be reviewed by the Senate.
House Concurrent Resolution No. 3002 outlines an amendment to section 25 of article 11 of North Dakota’s Constitution and following passage through the House, the bill will now go to the Senate for review.
If passed, the amendment will allow sports betting to be legalized and regulated by state, while at the moment North Dakota Bettors can only use offshore sportsbooks.

At present, in North Dakota sports betting is only permitted at retail sportsbooks and kiosks at casinos on tribal lands.
House members voted to approved the bill by 49-44. Now it must receive a majority vote in the Senate.
If approved by the Senate, the motion to amend the constitution would then be put to the electorate on the next general election ballot.
