Best Wyoming Sports Betting Sites & Apps 2025
Wyoming sports betting became legal when Governor Mark Gordon signed a sports betting bill in April of 2021.
The Wyoming Gaming Commission opened the licensee application process on July 15th while a set of sports betting rules and regulations were adopted on August 2nd. Legislators had set a provisional launch date of September 1st 2021 hoping to allow sports betting in time for the NFL season opener on September 9th.
The commission was able to meet that deadline and issued licenses to two mobile sports betting operators — DraftKings and BetMGM — on September 1st.
House Bill 0133 specified that the Wyoming sports betting industry will be mobile-only as there are no commercial casinos in the state. However, since the bill was passed, the state has decided that it will allow tribal casinos to operate retail sportsbooks.

What About Online Poker in Wyoming?
There are some card games available at the state’s tribal casinos but no online casino games are permitted in the state. This include online poker. With no commercial casinos and a virtually non-existent live poker scene, it has always seemed unlikely that the state’s legislators would make any attempts to regulate online poker.
However, in February of 2024, Representatives Jon Conrad, Robert Davis, Sandy Newsome, and Tom Walters, proposed the legalization of iGaming in Wyoming through House Bill 120. The bill would allow for the issuance of up to five online gaming operator licenses. While poker was not specifically mentioned in the bill, this could have paved the way for legal online poker rooms in the state.
The House rejected the opportunity to discuss the legislation by a vote of by a vote of 25-36-1. This means that online casino legislation and online poker will not be possible in 2024.
