March Was Another Record-Breaking Month for Casino Streamers
A data-analysis of streaming on Twitch.tv’s Slots directory for March 2021 shows a number of casino streaming records were broken.
18,479,015 hours of slots were watched on Twitch in March 2021 – a new record since the category was created back in December 2018.
- 117,162 hours streamed in the Twitch Slots category – a new record
- 157 channels streaming slots, on average during the month – a new record
- Slots was the 73rd most watched category on Twitch
- Slots on Twitch ranked #116 for hours streamed

The Slots category ranked #65 overall on Twitch in March, down from #69 in February – in terms of peak viewers in March across all categories on the platform.
The problem of “fake streamers” is quite apparent – with many of the most viewed streamers being on the payroll of operators and affiliates (or they are affiliates themselves) – and no doubt, not gambling with their own cash
