Note: Macau’s gross gaming revenues (GGR) plummeted by 51.4% to an all-time low in 2022 as a direct result of forced closures due to the global COVID health pandemic. Unlike other regions, Macau suffered several periods of closure and was also heavily impacted by travel restrictions.
Prior to the pandemic, Macau reported $29 billion GGR for 2019, placing it second only to the USA in terms of market size.
