gambling affiliates SEO USA

Gambling affiliates focusing on the US have been hit with a warning from BETMGM affiliates relating to Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Targeting and optimizing for conversion-focused keywords relating to bonuses and bonus codes is forbidden according to BetMGM’s Affiliate Terms.

The email sent to affiliates read as follows:

Hello,

It has come to our attention that there has been an influx of SEO infractions which violate the terms of our agreement, specifically Section 10, Prohibited Activities.

As a reminder, you may not:
(k) optimize for search results including any individual or combination of the terms: “bonus,” “promo code,” “coupon code,” and any similar terms and their variations (including using the aforementioned terms and variations in URL names, webpage and article titles, backlinks, and meta-descriptions);

We kindly request that if you are participating in any of the above, that you remove the aforementioned terms from your URL names, webpage and article titles, backlinks, and meta-descriptions immediately.

Failure to comply will result in withholding commissions and termination.
We appreciate your cooperation and continued promotion of BetMGM.

Please get in touch with any questions.
Sincerely,
