The 2024 iGB Affiliate Awards was held at the London Affiliate Conference for the last time this year in London. The 2024 awards concluded a week long of exhibitors and affiliates coming together.
The affiliate awards themselves are one of the most well known and longest running events (when the first set of industry awards took place in 2008 when it was known as the CAP Awards).
StatsDrone Wins Best Tech for Affiliates
The co-founders of StatsDrone were attending ICE and the London Affiliate Conference all week long meeting with affiliates. The week included evening events with ThrillTech and a co-hosted dinner with ReadyAffiliates.
After 3 long grueling days of meetings and walking around the show, the event concluded on the highest note possible as StatsDrone scored the win for Best Tech for Affiliates.
Shortlist for Best Tech for Affiliates
The companies that were shortlisted for the Best Tech For Affiliates award include the following:
- Bazoom
- Intelitics
- PartnerMatrix
- RavenTrack
- ReferOn
What makes the award extra special for StatsDrone is that they are a startup going up against iGaming industry giants that are well established and recognized companies. The team at StatsDrone have been scrappy in their hustle mode in bootstrapping their software.
In 2023 the company raised a round of investments to accelerate the business and the risk has clearly paid off for them. They’ve been able to invest more into standout features for the app that also includes a full redesign of the app with a new mobile interface.
About StatsDrone
StatsDrone Inc was founded in December 2017 by co-founders John Wright (read our interview with John here) and Darrell Helyar.
The concept of the company was made based on the pain points of running affiliate sites and also having experience as an affiliate manager.
The pain points were to build an advanced stats app that aggregated data and focused on helping affiliates earn more money but also to prevent revenue leak.
Revenue leak happens when gambling affiliate programs change tracking links and the old links are invalidated. Another example is when programs go out of business, sometimes affiliates are never notified of this and it is a lot of work to stay on top of the changes across the industry.
StatsDrone History & Milestones
The company first built a desktop app launching in 2018 but after a lot of struggles with the app, they decided to rebuild the app in 2020. In 2021 the company took in their first few customers and were able to get feedback to make improvements.
