The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has announced that it has blocked a further nine illegal online gambling websites.

The ACMA requested that local internet service providers block the websites effectively restricting their ability to offer games and services to Australian gamblers. The nine websites that are in breach of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 are:

  • Winning Days
  • 21Bit Casino
  • Oshi Casino
  • Lucky Elf Casino
  • NeoSpin
  • Lets Lucky
  • Boho Casino
  • Ripper Casino
  • BC.Game

This latest action brings the total number of websites blocked by the ACMA since November 2019 to 642. According to the ACMA’s records, as many as 180 unlicensed gambling businesses have also withdrawn from the Australian market since 2017.

Earlier in August of 2022, the ACMA warned iGaming software provider Proxous — which sub-licenses  Real Time Gaming software — against supplying unlicensed gambling websites. This was the first time that the ACMA took direct action against an iGaming supplier as it steps up its efforts to limit market access for unlicensed betting sites.
