The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has announced that it has added eleven more unlicensed online gambling and affiliate marketing websites to its list of sites blocked in the Australian market.
According to the ACMA announcement, the regulator has requested that internet service providers (ISPs) block access to:
- Greenspin
- Slotman
- Jeetcity
- Betibet
- Candyland Casino
- New Vegas
- Thunderpick
- Golden Lion
- Digits 7

The ACMA has found that all websites listed are in direct breach of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.
893 websites have been blocked by the ACMA since it first launched its campaign to limit access to illegal gambling websites in November 2019. The ACMA has also stated that since 2017, around 220 unlicensed gambling businesses have also withdrawn from the Australian market.
ACMA Fines Seven
November saw the ACMA warn and fine broadcaster Seven for breaching online gambling advertising rules.
An investigation found that The Seven Network Operations Ltd (Seven) displayed a gambling advertisement on a live stream of an NFL game. According to local broadcasting rules, gambling ads cannot be shown during live streams of sporting events between the hours of 5 am and 8.30 pm.
According to the latest global gambling statistics, Australia has the highest gambling losses per person at around AU$1850 ($1200/€1210) per year.
