Caesars Entertainment, Inc. announced Monday an expansion of the WSOP Online poker platform, adding Pennsylvania to its three existing jurisdictions: Nevada, New Jersey, and Michigan.
Caesars becomes the first online poker operator to share liquidity across four U.S. jurisdictions. WSOP Online is the only platform in the U.S. where poker players from all four states can compete in the same player pool.
“The addition of the Pennsylvania player pool to WSOP Online comes at the perfect time, and we’re ready to give avid poker players in the Keystone State the opportunity to raise the stakes on their poker play,” said Danielle Barille, Vice President of Online Poker at Caesars Entertainment.
“This expansion enhances the experience for players by building even greater prize pools that are up for grabs all summer long as a part of our jam-packed WSOP Online schedule. We’re ready to see who earns our largest online prize pools ever once the first hands are dealt this summer.”
Pennsylvania Became The Sixth Member Of The MSIGA
The news comes on the heels of Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro signing an agreement last Wednesday, accepting the Keystone State as the sixth member of the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA) for online poker.
In addition, the MSIGA for poker creates more options for an estimated 150,000 online poker players in the state. The move increasing the pool of online poker players by more than 50%. The inclusion of Pennsylvania also follows Michigan’s integration with Nevada and New Jersey on WSOP Online in May 2024.
As everybody knows, Penny state has always been pioneer in US Casino industry. Now, Pennsylvania joins Delaware, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, and West Virginia as participants in MSIGA. The PGCB will also work with its online operators and the other state gaming agencies to ensure that Pennsylvania’s 150,000 online poker players are provided with a fair and thoroughly tested platform.
“This is a commonsense step to support hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians, grow our economy, and bring in more revenue to support our schools, our seniors, our small businesses, and more,” said Governor Shapiro.
“Three of our neighbors are already part of this agreement – and with this action today, we’re making sure Pennsylvania remains competitive in a rapidly growing online market.”
