US sports betting operator DraftKings has announced that it has purchased gambling media company Vegas Sports Information Network Inc. (VSiN).
VSiN was co-founded by renowned sportscaster Brent Musberger and his nephew Brian Musberger, and has been delivering betting-focused content since 2017. The acquisition of the multi-platform media company will allow DraftKings to fill media slots for its many partners in the US.
No details on the purchase have been released as of yet but a press release on the DraftKings website confirmed that the deal had gone through.
Speaking of the deal Jason Robins, DraftKings’ co-founder, CEO and Chairman of the Board said:
“VSiN creates authentic and credible content that resonates with sports bettors at every level, whether they’re experienced or new to sports betting. In addition to its brand equity among sports bettors and engaging talent roster, VSiN also has an established infrastructure that DraftKings can immediately help expand, in the hopes of adding value to consumers who are looking to become more knowledgeable about sports betting.”
VSiN currently develops, produces, and broadcasts as much as 18 hours of sports betting content each day. Its live roster includes co-founder Musberger, sportscaster Michael Lombardi, Pauly Howard, Mitch Moss, and former NFL executive, Gill Alexander.
When asked about the deal, Brian Musberger, CEO of VSiN said:
“We created VSiN as a destination for sports bettors to find the most credible content to help inform their wagering decisions. Harnessing the power and network of the DraftKings brand will allow us to reach an even wider audience with our unique content.”
Brian Musberger and his leadership team will remain in their positions and continue to run the network’s day-to-day operations.
