Iowa Posts Sports Betting Handle of $143.6 Million for February

The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission has released its latest monthly report revealing a sports betting handle of $143,615,169.91 for the month of February.

The mobile sports betting handle of $125,218,447.46 accounted for 83.7% of all sports wagers in the state.

February’s figure marks a slight drop of 4% on January’s sports betting handle of $149,524,789.11.

The gaming commission’s data also shows that Iowa’s sportsbooks paid out $135,907,021.78 in winning bets while the industry generated $520,444.13 in tax revenue for the state.

Of the 18 state-licensed casinos operating sportsbooks, Isle Casino Hotel Waterloo led the market taking in $21,855,911.56 during February closely followed by Diamond Jo Dubuque with a handle of $21,361,021.38.

Harrah’s Council Bluffs Casino & Hotel had the lowest sports betting handle in the state taking in just $849,634.21 over the 28 days of the month.
