The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) has released its latest monthly revenue report revealing that the state’s casinos reported combined revenues of $1.3 billion during the month of February.
The latest figures represent a 8.5% increase on the same period in 2023 while totals for the fiscal year-to-date (July to Dec) are up by 5.23%. Nevada’s billion-dollar streak has now entered its 36th consecutive month.
Strip resorts accounted for around $800 million of the state’s total revenue figure, an increase of 12.4%. Meanwhile table games total revenue increased by 30.3% year-on-year to $419.7 million. This included baccarat revenue of $180.5 million, an 81.9% jump on last year’s figures.
Taxes collected during the month of March totaled $70,482,911, a 9.54% decrease compared to March 2023.
Sports Betting
The total sports betting handle for the month amounted to $711.9 million, reflecting a 7.94% increase year-on-year. Of that figure $185.6 million was attributed to the Super Bowl. Sportsbooks won around $6.8 million from the NFL showpiece alone.
Sportsbooks reported a hold percentage of 7%, up from 4.4% in November and 6.2% in December of 2022. As a result, sports betting revenues came to $47.9 million, a 16.1% increase on February 2023.
Mobile sports betting accounted for 59.5% of all wagers.
