Videos posted online have shown water running down Las Vegas Boulevard with people wading through streams during torrential downpours.

There are also videos of water damage at several casinos. One of the most notable videos shows water flowing through a screen as Circa Resort & Casino while there are pools of water clearly visible throughout the gaming floors.

Planet Hollywood has also been affected by the unexpected flash flood with water flowing through holes in the property’s ceiling. The same type of damage has also been reported at Caesars Palace.

Las Vegas Valley is now under a flash flood warning as of Friday morning and strong storms are expected to cause further damage over the weekend.

The flash floods arrived just shortly after the Nevada Gaming Control Board announced that a spike in tourism numbers on the Las Vegas Strip saw the state’s gambling operators combine to generate over $1.28 billion in revenue. This marked the 16th month in a row that the state topped the $1 billion mark. The NGCB also revealed that the FY2022 was a record-breaking year as the year-end revenue total came to $14.6 billion.
