The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) has released its latest revenue report revealing that the Nevada’s casinos collected over $1.28 billion in revenue during the month of October.
The latest figures mark a jump of 4.83% on October 2021, and a 3.2% increase month-on-month. October was the 20th month in a row that gaming revenues in the state topped the $1 billion mark.
For the fiscal year to date, Nevada gaming revenues are now 3.02% above the same period in 2021. The state is currently on track to set yet another record calendar year in terms of revenues.
Revenues on the Strip amounted to $705.8 million up by 0.5% on October 2021 and up by 1.8% compared to the previous month. For the ten months of 2022, Strip casinos have reported $8.4 billion in revenue, significantly more than the $7 billion set for the entire year of 2021.
Clark County, reported more than $1 billion in gaming revenue in October. This was the 13th time in the last 18 months that the county has broken the $1 billion threshold.
Across the state, table game revenue increased by 6.4% year-on-year while slot machine revenue grew by 10.96%.
Sports betting up by 17.7% year-on-year
Nevada sports betting recorded another impressive month with revenues of $56.9 million. This marked an increase of 17.7% year-on-year. According to the report, sportsbooks reported a hold of more than 6.1% of all wagers during October. This was up from the 4.4% recorded in October 2021.
Sportsbooks accepted over $920.8 million in wagers throughout the month of October, down 16.3% from 2021’s October figure of $1.1 billion. Mobile wagering in October accounted for almost 67% of all sports betting activity.
