Oregon Sports Betting Handle Drops to $24 Million in March

Oregon State Lottery has released its monthly revenue report revealing a sports betting handle of just $24,054,960 down 18.7% on February's handle of $29,600,150.

Oregon State Lottery has released its monthly revenue report revealing a sports betting handle of just $24,054,960 down 18.7% on February’s handle of $29,600,150.

March saw the state’s 17,914 bettors place 765,253 wagers with an average bet of $31.43. Gross gaming revenue (GGR) for the month totaled $1,374,377 down 48.8% on February’s GGR of $2,684,777.

The most popular sport among bettors was once again basketball which drew in 421,684 bets for a handle of $15,147,622. Surprisingly, soccer was the next most popular sport taking in 96,828 bets accounting for $2,764,160 of the total handle.

The latest report sees the state’s sports betting handle drop for the second month in a row following January’s record $34,935,891 handle with GGR of $3,872,604.
