Online gaming and sports betting software provider Playtech has announced a new deal with Greenwood Racing that would see the brand expand its US presence to include Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Playtech’s existing US agreements sees the tech company provide software for both Entain and Bet365 in the state of New Jersey.

Speaking of the new deal, Chief executive Mor Weizer, said:

“The US is a highly strategic market and this multi-state, multi-product agreement highlights the demand for the full breadth of our product offering.

This is the next step for Playtech in the US and we are delighted to work with the Greenwood companies to capture this exciting long-term opportunity.”

The news comes shortly after Greenwood Racing announced plans to launch an iGaming product in the recently opened Michigan online gambling market.

News of the deal saw Playtech’s shares up 1.7% in early trading on the London Stock Exchange.

This is the second major announcement from Playtech in as many weeks following the recent news that the company was in talks to sell its financial division Finalto for around $200 million.
