With 31.4 million Americans expected to watch the Super Bowl this year, the sporting spectacle is expected to generate a record amount of sports betting volume – and sportsbetting sites are planning on spending big on commercials during the “big game” in order to acquire customers and brand exposure for their legal sportsbooks.

It’s not only sports fans throughout the country who are betting on the Super Bowl. Many will be betting with cryptocurrency due to being unable to bet legally in their location.

Toronto Rapper Drake ( whose Twitter account has nearly 40 million followers) is betting big on the Los Angeles Rams to beat the Cincinnati Bengals on today Sunday, February 13 with a bet on the Rams for the win, and some proposition bets.

Stake.com and Drake both shared information about the bets on Instagram.

Drake has become a regular gambler on Stake.com having won a large sum of money playing high stakes roulette with mega-money at stake at each spin of the wheel.

Recently he posted a video where it appears that he placed $200,000 on just one spin of roulette – predicting the ball lands on an eight. When it does-  he happily exclaims “There it is! What did I say!?”.

With a net worth of over $200m, Drake can probably afford a few high stakes casino and super bowl sportsbetting sessions.

Drake’s three huge Super Bowl bets – totalling $1,25M:

  • $472,364 on the Rams to beat the Bengals.
  • $393,636 wager for Odell Beckham Jr. to achieve at least 62.5 receiving yards.
  • $393,636 wagered on Beckham  Jr to score a touchdown.

The payout should all three bets come in amounts to $713,244, $712,457, and $846, 288.

Update:
Drake banked around $300,000 profit from his $1.25M in bets. Two of Drake’s huge Super Bowl LVI bets came in after the Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl, defeating the the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20.
Odell Beckham Jr’s game-ending injury just before the half-time show probably cost him ~$700k.
