Dutch gambling regulator, De Kansspelautoriteit has issued two new iGaming licenses to JOI I Limited and JOI II Limited.
Both companies are new business entities created and wholly owned by JVH Gaming & Entertainment through its subsidiary company JOI Gaming Limited. The group already received its first iGaming license in November 2012. Under this license JOI Gaming currently operates the jacks.nl website in the Netherlands.
The two new licenses are separate from any existing gaming operations with each company, JOI I and JOI II, set to launch its own gambling websites and/or apps.
JOI Group has yet to inform De Kansspelautoriteit which domains the two new companies will chiefly operate under. The regulator has stated that it will only add both license holders to the list of approved operators once these details are known.
However, Eric Olders, CEO of JVH Gaming & Entertainment, stated l that one of the licenses will be used for the online variant of its country-specific Flash Casino, although he had no details of the exact brand name that would be used.
“We are very pleased that after all the hard work we have received and completed our permits. It was an intense process that we have been working on for a long time. The credit for for this huge job goes to my team. The focus can now be on building the business. We are really looking forward to that.”
It was also also reported that another gambling operator has been issued an iGaming license. According to the report, the license was issued to ZEBetting and the company will most likely launch an online casino under the brand name ZETurf. Currently, ZETurf is the only legal horse racing betting provider in the Netherlands. The approval has yet to be announced by the regulator, but the company already appears on the approved iGaming operator list.
The latest license approvals brings the total to 15 approved iGaming operators in the Netherlands.
