The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission has announced that it has approved temporary licenses for sports betting operators allowing each license holder to offer sports wagering for up to one year while under review.
The announcement also details the various locations where Kentucky bettors can place a sports wager in-person from September 7th. There are also full launch date details for mobile Kentucky sports betting alongside the approved mobile operators that will accept pre-registration for accounts from August 28th.

Speaking following the approval, Gov. Andy Beshear said:
“The countdown continues as we move closer to sports wagering with retail locations opening in just 16 days. Thank you to the KHRC commissioners for their dedication to getting this done right and getting it done in time for the opening of the NFL season.”
