TheScore Canada sports betting

Penn National Gaming, Inc. has announced that theScore Bet has been received Gaming Laboratories International GLI-33 certification for both mobile sports betting and iGaming in Ontario Canada. This is the first step to the operators receiving full approval to launch in the east central Canadian province.

Earlier this year Canada’s government passed Bill C-218 that allows provinces and territories to regulate single-event sports betting in Canada from August 27th 2021. Following the drafting of regulations, the province of Ontario hopes to launch both online casino gaming and sports betting in early 2022. Now that it has been certified, theScore Bet is in prime position to be one of the first operators ready for launch.

Speaking following the announcement, John Levy, CEO of theScore said:

“We’re pleased to be one of the first online gaming operators to secure GLI-33 certification in Ontario. We are eager to launch theScore Bet in our home market and showcase our unrivaled combination of media and gaming to fans across the province. This approval is a credit to our first-rate product and engineering team who have been hard at work to ready theScore Bet for launch in Ontario.”
