Resorts World Las Vegas announced Tuesday the appointment of Jennifer Roberts as Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). Roberts will oversee Resorts World Las Vegas’ compliance function, including regulatory compliance, registration and licensing, AML, responsible gaming, and technical compliance.

Roberts founded her own gaming law firm, Roberts Gaming Law, Ltd. She has more than 20 years of legal experience and most recently served as Vice President and General Counsel at WynnBET, a mobile sports betting and iGaming operator.

Before joining WynnBET, she was Director of Sports Gaming Regulation for the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation and held roles as Associate Director and interim Executive Director of the International Center for Gaming Regulation at University of Nevada Las Vegas.
There, she developed and implemented a complex curriculum to educate regulators and industry professionals on casino compliance and advised stakeholders on regulatory frameworks.
As Chief Compliance Officer, Roberts will lead the Resorts World Las Vegas compliance organization, leading the design, development, and implementation of programs and policies.
In addition, Roberts will help identify and manage compliance risks, conduct operational assessments, and ensure continuous testing and monitoring to maintain the highest industry standards.

Roberts also spent 11 years as an attorney in the Gaming & Regulatory Department at the Nevada-based law firm of Lionel Sawyer & Collins. She is an adjunct professor at both the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law and S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, from which she holds a J.D.
