BetMGM has announced a new partnership agreement with MLB franchise the Pittsburgh Pirates that will see the sports betting and gaming operator create fan-focused content and promotions while BetMGM branding will feature throughout PNC Park.
The branding in the Pirates’ home field will include prominent logos behind the home plate and on the left filed wall. The agreement also includes the integration of BetMGM content and promotions across the Pirates’ digital and social media platforms.
In a statement released through the BetMGM website, David Burke, Pirates Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Development said:
“Our partnership with BetMGM is one that we are extremely proud to announce. We are incredibly excited to partner with such a respected and innovative brand. It allows us the opportunity to provide a unique platform for our fans to engage with Pirates baseball like never before.”
in the same press release, BetMGM’s Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost added:
“BetMGM has seen tremendous success in Pennsylvania since launching in December 2020. Growing our presence across the state, in partnership with the Pirates, is a top priority and we look forward to providing Pittsburgh’s passionate sports fans unique promotions and benefits only available on BetMGM.”
The Pirates’ deal means that BetMGM has now secured partnership deals with two of Pittsburgh’s major sports teams following a similar deal signed with the Steelers in November last year. The Pittsburgh Penguins was the first major sports franchise in the city to ink a partnership deal with a sports betting firm when it agreed sponsorship terms with North Shore’s River Casino in September of 2021.
Details relating to the length and exact terms of the Pirates’ agreement have yet to be released.
The Pittsburgh Pirates are currently priced at +100000 to win the MLB World Series according to odds data at Vegas-odds.com. A single $100 bet on the Pirates would win a bettor a $100,000.00 Payout if they win the World series.
