Chelsea legend John Terry has joined football prediction app LEBOM as an investor and brand ambassador.
Terry joins the sports betting app on a three-year deal, focusing on product development and providing weekly score predictions throughout the season.
The Premier League icon supports LEBOM’s goal of allowing players to create private leagues, predict match outcomes and compete for cash prizes.
It differs from traditional UK betting sites as it offers a low-stake, peer-to-peer model focused on community and competition.
LEBOM launched in 2021 and has grown exponentially ever since, recording over 65,000 active players in 2024-25 and is primed for further expansion throughout the upcoming season.
Terry said in a statement: “I’ve been playing LEBOM with my family and close mates, and it’s honestly brought a whole new energy to the weekend’s football.
“It’s really competitive and exciting but it’s about enjoying the game together and the bragging rights, not chasing big wins or betting alone.”
Terry, 44, is widely regarded as one of the greatest defenders of his generation – winning five league titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups as well as a Champions League and Europa League with Chelsea.
LEBOM CEO and co-founder Chris Ricketts said of Terry: “We’re already loving working with him and know he can help unleash Lebom’s full potential over the coming seasons as we continue to provide fans with an exciting, community led, responsible experience in sports betting.”
What Is LEBOM?
LEBOM is a football predictor game, which sees players and their friends simply come together to predict the results of upcoming Premier League games and agree a stake that is put into a pot.
Points are awarded for each correct result and bonus points are available for a correct score. Whoever records the most points wins the pot.
The ‘Captain’ of the group is tasked with the responsibility of setting a stake for the fixtures and a minimum of 2 players in the group must have placed a bet in order for the game to begin.
