Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE) has announced that sports betting partner FanDuel will open an 11,000 square foot retail sportsbook at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut.

The sportsbook is set for a soft launch today, February 10th at 9am local time just in time for Super Bowl LVI which takes place this Sunday, February 13th.

The new permanent sportsbook is located directly opposite the temporary kiosk which has been in place at the Bow & Arrow Sports Bar since September 29th, 2021. The facility will feature 39 betting kiosks, over 30 hi-res TVs, and a 140-foot video wall that will show live sporting events including the upcoming Super Bowl.

MGE has revealed that the new sportsbook will be able to seat 222 sports fans with 22 of those seats designated as luxury or VIP seats. The sportsbook will replace the casino’s race book and will also feature a fully licensed bar.

MGE and FanDuel are also offering a free bet to select customers that come to the sportsbook on Sunday to watch the Super Bowl.

Speaking on the retail sportsbook’s launch, Jeff Hamilton, President & General Manager of Mohegan Sun, said:

“We are beyond excited about this new venue, which completely transforms Mohegan Sun’s old Race Book space. The all-new Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook is led by Sportsbook General Manager Brad Bryant. We are thrilled to welcome sports fans out to this new venue, and we plan to have special appearances throughout the year, beginning with our Grand Opening on March 5.”
