The marriage between the Arizona Cardinals and Kyler Murray is expected to end this offseason, when the veteran quarterback is either traded or released.
There could be a competitive market for the two-time Pro Bowler, as several NFL teams currently find themselves in quarterback purgatory.

The Favorites
Raiders (+300)
Geno Smith has not been the answer in Las Vegas, so perhaps Pete Carroll goes with someone else he’s familiar with from the NFC West. The Raiders have a pair of young building blocks on offense in Brock Bowers and Ashton Jeanty, but quarterback has been a huge issue since the departure of Derek Carr in 2022.
Jets (+400)
It’s been a QB graveyard for years in New York, as Justin Fields is the latest signal-caller to fail at the helm. Coach Aaron Glenn may already be feeling the pressure after a rocky first season as head coach, and Murray could help stabilize the position.
Panthers (+500)
Carolina is 12th in points allowed this season but once again the offense has been the anchor with Bryce Young at quarterback. The Panthers could take a step forward with improved quarterback play, and Murray may be the best option for a quick turnaround in 2026.
Intriguing Longshots
Vikings (+1500)
Quarterback play has been up and down for the Vikings this season, who are struggling to compete in the tough NFC North after winning 12 games with Sam Darnold under center last season. Minnesota seems likely to give J.J. McCarthy one more year to prove he is the guy, but if coach Kevin O’Connell has doubts, he could bring in Murray to lead a team that has enough talent to be a playoff contender.
Falcons (+1800)
The Falcons made quarterback headlines in 2024 when they drafted Michael Penix after signing veteran Kirk Cousins in free agency. Could they do so again? Penix is still early in his career, but the Falcons are only averaging 18.7 points per game this season despite heavy investment in the offense, and the braintrust could be getting antsy.
