The latest monthly revenue report from the New Hampshire Lottery shows that the state’s licensed sportsbooks accepted $70.8 million in wagers throughout the month of February.
The latest figures mark a 28.8% drop in sports betting activity compared to January when sportsbooks accepted an all-time record of $99.5 million in wagers. February was also the lowest month since September 2021 when sportsbooks reported accepting $68.1 million in wagers, which, at the time, was the highest amount accepted in a single month.
Mobile sports betting accounted for 59.3% of all betting activity as online sportsbooks accepted $59 million in wagers. Mobile sports betting operators generated gross gaming revenue (GGR) of just $14,595 resulting in state revenue share of $6,327. This was a considerable drop from the $7.1 million GGR generated in the previous month and is likely attributed to promotions offered in the run up to the Super Bowl.
Meanwhile retail sportsbooks reported accepting $11.7 million in wagers, a drop of over 34% from the previous month’s retail activity. However, this resulted in GGR of just over $1 million up from the previous month’s total of $905,849. This resulted in a state revenue share of $452,026.
Combined GGR for the month of October totaled $1.01 million resulting in a total state revenue share of $458,353, over $3.4 million less than in the previous month. February’s revenue share was also the worst since June 2020 and the sixth lowest total since the legalization of sports betting in New Hampshire.
