NHL star Arthur Kaliyev has been accused of stealing $50,000 from his ex-girlfriend to fuel a gambling addiction.

Kaliyev’s former partner, adult-content model Lauren Mochen, claimed the Belleville Senators forward borrowed large sums of money from her, asked for access to her PayPal account and used her to cash fraudulent checks.

In a series of videos on TikTok, Mochen alleges Kaliyev stole from her to fund his gambling addiction and that total amassed to an incredible $50,000.

Mochen did an exclusive with the New York Post, who reviewed messages, receipts, accounts and even an incident report across her three-year relationship with Kaliyev.

It reportedly began back in 2023, when Kaliyev told Mochen he had received a check from his family to reimburse her for ‘accidentally’ using her PayPal account to pay workers at his family’s shipping firm.

Mochen had previously agreed to let Kaliyev link his card to her PayPal account and transfer money through it, under the excuse his personal account was experiencing issues.

She told the New York Post she handled several checks totalling $7,500, but the bank informed her she had cashed three fraudulent checks.

Kaliyev repeatedly claimed that people would harm him and he would repay Mochen, according to her social media posts.

Mochen explained that when Kaliyev began discussing money with her, he switched to Snapchat where messages disappear after 24 hours.

Kaliyev allegedly owes several Los Angeles Kings players approximately $50,000 for a collection on fines, fees, group bets and betting pools.

A current Kings player confirmed to Mochen that Kaliyev still owes money to players on the team, as per the New York Post. He was reportedly even barred from practices over the unpaid debts.

Kaliyev was waived by the Kings in January and later claimed by the New York Rangers, playing 14 games for the team before suffering a season-ending injury.

The Rangers declined to make a qualifying offer, making him a free agent. Kaliyev signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Ottawa Senators in July.
