According the latest revenue report released by the Ohio Casino Control Commission (OCCC), Ohioans wagered almost $737.2 million during March.

The latest figures mark a 15% increase from the $639 million reported in February bringing the total amount wagered since the industry launched in January to $2.5.

Online sports betting at Ohio’s 17 licensed online sportsbooks accounted for 97% of all wagers in March as local gamblers placed $715.3 million in bets through mobile sports betting apps. Meanwhile retail sportsbooks reported just $21.9 million in wagers. The state reported sports betting revenue of $95 million, a 15% increase on the previous month when sportsbooks reported $82 million in revenues. $92.3 million of that figure came through online sportsbooks.

FanDuel accounted for 36.1% of the market while DraftKings accounted for 31.9%. FanDuel reported accepting $258.5 million in wagers while DraftKings reported $224.8 million. Bet365 was next on the list with $54.4 million in handle. BetMGM reported $53.9 million, Barstool Sportsbook reported $37.9 million and Caesars reported $36.4 million.

Earlier this week,  the OCCC informed sportsbooks to pause betting on all college baseball games involving the University of Alabama with immediate effect following some suspicious activity during a game with LSU. Since then, other states have followed suit while Alabama’s baseball coach has been fired.
