Australian online bookmaker, PointsBet has announced that it has been received its provisional certification from the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission.

The certification is subject to final launch authorization which will allow PointsBet to launch its sports betting platform in Kansas on September 1st, 2022.
In May of 20221, Kansas Governor Laura Kelly signed Senate Bill 84, which legalized sports wagering in Kansas on mobile apps, in casinos, and other specified venues. The launch was expected to be delayed until later in the year, but has now been given the go ahead for a soft launch on September 1st with the official launch coming on September 8th just ahead of the NFL season opener.
PointsBet secured market access in the state through a primary skin agreement with Kansas Crossing Casino L.C. Once it launches, PointsBet Kansas will be the company’s 11th mobile sports betting operation in the United States following launches in New Jersey, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Colorado, Michigan, West Virginia, Virginia, New York, and Pennsylvania.
