The Virginia Lottery has released its latest monthly revenue report revealing that Virginians wagered just over $266 million during the month of July.

The latest figures represent a drop of 9.8% on the previous month’s sports betting handle of $295 million and the second month in a row that sports betting activity declined.

Gamblers won a total of $239.9 million giving sports betting operators a combined win percentage of 9.78%.

The report also reveals that the total amount won by Virginia gamblers since sports betting in Virginia launched in January 2021 now sits at over $5 billion.

Bonuses and promotions for the month totaled $396,903 while other deductions came to $4,228,729. This resulted in combined adjusted gross revenue (AGR) of $21.4 million.

13 mobile sports betting operators were active for the month of July while 8 reported positive AGR for the month. This resulted in state taxes of just over $3 million.
