Tada Gaming continues to expand its global operations and has now obtained a UK gambling license from the UK Gambling Commission. A UK license marks a landmark moment for the Taiwanese iGaming developer.

Entry to the UK online casino market as well as the validation that a UK gambling license holds can significantly boost the company’s revenue.

Commenting on the milestone, Andy Huang, CEO of TaDa Gaming, stated: “Whilst all gaming authorities rightly insist on rigorous standards and strict adherence to the rules, the UK’s Gambling Commission has the reputation for being the most demanding.”

“We are delighted to have had our game protocols and commitment to the highest standards of fair play verified in this way, allowing us to expand our presence, increase our trust levels and deliver ever more safe, reliable and innovative gaming experiences to players in the UK and beyond.”

Tada Gaming Expansion

The company was founded in 2019 in Taiwan but has been expanding its reach in Europe, and launched in Italy through a partnership with Pixelo in November last year. It also holds licenses issued by the Malta Gaming Authority, Hellenic Gaming Commission, Romanian ONJN, and Sweden’s Spelinspektionen.

Through a partnership with Golden Palace Casino, TaDa Gaming has additionally entered the Belgian market, offering its dice-led slot games to players in the country.

After Brazil legalized online gambling this year, the company has also marked the country as a key market. It now has 60 games certified for the local market and aims to build more connections in the region.

Additionally, Tada Gaming launched its free-to-play platform, Freeslotmatch, in the US, marking its entry into the American social gaming market. Several sweepstakes casinos now feature the developers’ portfolio of games, which includes slots, table games, bingo, and crash games.

UK Online Casinos offer big opportunity

The UK Gambling Commission revealed that 2024 saw gross gaming yield rise to £15bn with £6.9 billion total for online casinos, betting and bingo, a 6.9% increase on April 2022 to March 2023.

The Commission are one of the stricter regulators when it comes to issuing licenses and have been clamping down on slots. Last year, a new £5 stake limit was introduced on the games. Regulations will also become stricter on land-based casinos with new rules limiting the number of gaming machines allowed on premises.

This restrictions are expected to slow growth, but the market is still large enough that Tada can reap high rewards from their new license. An iGaming analyst at Vixio, stated, “The UK remains mature but not stagnant—regulation will slow growth, but new verticals and casual audiences will keep momentum going.”

There are currently an estimated 16 million gamblers in the UK and that is expected to rise to 18 million by 2027.
