The latest monthly revenue report from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has revealed that combined gambling revenues for the month of February came to $412 million.
February’s figures represent an increase of 10.4% on the same reporting period in 2022. However, the figures also mark a 5.6% drop from the $436.8 million reported in the previous month.
Casino win
Land-based casinos reported revenues of $215 million. This was up from the $211.6million reported in January and a 1.2% increase year-on-year.
For the month of February, five of the city’s nine casinos reported increases in casino win year-on-year.
- Borgata – $101.2million – up 7.4%
- Bally’s – $12.2 million – up 49%
- Caesars – $19 million – up 0.7%
- Harrah’s – $21.3 million – up 7.4%
- Hard Rock – $37.5 million – up 0.8%
The four casinos that reported a decrease in revenues are:
- Golden Nugget – $11.1 million – down 13.9%
- Tropicana – $17.2 million – down 0.5%
- Resorts – $12.6 million – down 5.4%
- Ocean Casino Resort – $26.2 million – down 2.2%
Internet gaming
The month of February saw online gambling operators report $142.6 million in revenues up 9.7% year-on-year. This was a 6.2% drop on the $152.9 million reported during the month of January.
Sports betting
New Jersey sports betting operators reported accepting $847.4 million in wagers. Of that figure $801.4 million came through mobile sportsbooks while retail sportsbooks took in $46 million in wagers. This brings the year-to-date total sports betting handle to $1.9 billion.
