Still, in 2025, residents can at least access three state-licensed sites for online betting in Arkansas, including the popular Betly.

Hence, if you are a state resident looking for greater variety, keep reading this Arkansas sports betting guide: our experts provide a detailed analysis of three trusted brands licensed overseas. Is Sports Betting Legal in Arkansas?
Yes, sports betting in Arkansas is entirely legal. Players can access three state-regulated mobile AR betting sites: Betly, Bet Saracen, and Oaklawn Sports. Several retail options, including tribal casinos with sportsbooks, such as the Saracen Casino Resort, owned by the Quapaw Nation, also exist.
An interesting perk of betting on sports in Arkansas is that it’s one of the few states that allows wagers on in-state college teams and college team/player props. However, Esports, politics, and entertainment betting markets are not permitted.

Arkansas Sports Betting – The Current Legal Standing
On May 14th, 2018, the Supreme Court ruled that the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992 (PASPA) was unconstitutional, lifting the federal ban on sports betting. Following the court’s ruling, lawmakers in Arkansas opted to put the question of legal sports betting to the electorate.
In November 2018, the state’s residents voted to establish a regulated market in Arkansas. The ballot measure allows retail sportsbooks to open in the state’s four casinos. The Arkansas Racing Commission regulates the industry. The state’s first legal sports wagers were placed on July 1st, 2019. However, the voter referendum only allowed for retail sports betting, meaning mobile sports betting was unavailable at launch. This changed when lawmakers approved an expansion bill allowing betting apps to launch in March 2022.
Mobile sports betting in Arkansas went live on March 4th, 2022. Three state casinos are now licensed to offer online sports betting, with a fourth (Legends Resort & Casino) currently in the works. Interestingly, however, only Southland Casino Racing, in partnership with Betly, was ready for the official launch date.
Recent Arkansas Sports Betting Legislation Changes
Arkansas sports betting legislation has seen little change in recent years. Notably, the state has maintained its support for in-state college betting and college player props, standing in contrast to the growing national trend of restricting these markets.
Beyond that, Arkansas has had several issues with Daily Fantasy Sports operators. In February 2024, Arkansas accused DFS operators of violating Amendment 100 of the Arkansas Constitution and of offering illegal sports betting services in the state. The state then sent cease-and-desist letters to Underdog and PrizePicks.
When Did Arkansas Legalize Sports Betting?
Legal, fully-regulated Arkansas sports betting has been available since November 2018, when state residents voted in favor of a ballot initiative to legalize sports betting and casino gambling at retail locations at four casinos.
Mobile and online sports betting in Arkansas took longer to get going. However, lawmakers finally approved changes to the rules on February 17th, 2022, and AR sports betting online was possible from March 4, 2022, just in time for March Madness. Betly took the state’s first mobile wager on March 5, 2022.
How Do the Gambling Laws in Arkansas Compare to Neighboring States
With just three Arkansas betting sites to choose from, Razorbacks fans looking for extra market variety or larger bonuses may have to head out of state. Find out what’s available in the six states that neighbor Arkansas below:
Missouri
On November 5th, 2024, Amendment 2, Sports Betting Initiative, was initiated, paving the way for Missouri to offer sports betting online, on gambling boats, and at locations within sports districts. As a result, online sports betting in Missouri is set to launch around Christmas Day in 2025. There are 14 licenses available, and you must be at least 21 to place a bet.
Texas
Legal Texas sports betting remains off the cards at present. Two separate bills, HJR 134 & HJR 137, were filed in February 2025 to get sports betting on the December ballot, but there is not much else to report at the time of writing. In the meantime, Texan bettors continue to wager offshore or by crossing state lines to bet in person in states like Arkansas and Louisiana.
Oklahoma
As of June, 2025, Oklahoma sports betting remains unregulated; there are no legal retail or online sportsbooks in the state. That’s not to say there haven’t been huge efforts made since the PASPA repeal in 2018. Unfortunately, issues surrounding the open market idea that would allow popular brands like DraftKings to operate have seen plenty of opposition from Oklahoma’s tribal nations. This causes key bills, like the recent SB 585, to stall or be pulled entirely.
Tennessee
Online Tennessee sports betting was passed into law on April 15, 2020, and went live on November 1, 2020. As of June, 2025, 13 regulated sportsbooks operate in the state. Interestingly, however, there are no retail betting locations.
Mississippi
Following the repeal of PASPA in 2018, Mississippi was among the first states to legalize retail sports betting. However, the path to MS online sports betting has proven more challenging, with multiple bills failing in recent legislative sessions. In 2025, there is renewed optimism, as Mississippi now allows mobile sports betting through apps linked to casinos, provided users are physically on-site.
Louisiana
LA online and mobile sports betting officially went live on January 28, 2022. Bettors from 55 of the state’s 64 parishes can sign up and place bets at regulated Louisiana online sportsbooks, including DraftKings, FanDuel, and BetMGM.
Can You Play at Online Sportsbooks in Arkansas?
Yes, you can play at online sportsbooks in Arkansas. State residents have been able to wager online since March 2022 and have access to three licensed AR online sportsbooks: Betly, Bet Saracen, and Oaklawn Sports. These AR betting apps work in partnership with brick-and-mortar sportsbooks located at the state’s premier casinos: Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort (Oaklawn Sports), Southland Casino Racing (Betly), and Saracen Casino Resort (Bet Saracen).
Unfortunately, popular sports betting brands like FanDuel and DraftKings remain absent from the state. You can access Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) and Pick 6, but that’s all. Both brands appear to be angling for a future market share, however: DraftKings recently merged with SB Tech, a sports betting partner of Oaklawn Casino Resort. FanDuel, meanwhile, merged with IGT, which handles sports betting operations for Southland Casino Racing and Saracen Casino Resort.
Suffice it to say, it seems that more legal Arkansas betting apps will enter the fray in the coming years. In the meantime, if you are looking for better market variety, more competitive odds on the US major leagues, and a wider selection of banking methods and promotions, your best option remains using licensed and verified Arkansas sports betting sites based offshore, such as those mentioned in this guide.
How We Rank the Best Arkansas Sportsbooks
Our team of sports betting experts uses strict rating criteria to assess, review, and rank the best sites for online betting in Arkansas.
Top 3 Arkansas Sports Betting Sites
Get a more detailed breakdown of the top betting sites available to AR players in the following reviews:
1. BetOnline – Best Overall Arkansas Online Sports Betting Site; Huge Range of Major League Promos
- Welcome Offer: $250 in free sports bets
- Promo Code: FREE250
Fully licensed in Panama City, Panama, BetOnline is our preferred option for sports betting in Arkansas. It’s a sportsbook first, but houses a racebook, a separate tab for esports betting, a casino, and a poker lounge. Although BetOnline doesn’t provide a dedicated Arkansas sports betting app, the site is mobile-optimized, running smoothly on web browsers and providing markets and lines identical to its desktop variant.
BetOnline offers the broadest range of sports betting options among Arkansas betting sites. Depending on the time of year, players will have access to approximately 30 markets, including all the US major leagues, select college sports, esports, politics, and entertainment betting. The odds tend to be highly competitive; regular odds boosters are available on select markets, and a wealth of competitions and ongoing sport/market-specific promotions exist. Live betting and live streaming are also available for the Razorbacks in NCAA football/basketball.
BetOnline’s banking options are just as varied. The site accepts credit and debit cards, 17 cryptocurrencies, money orders, and Person-to-Person transfers for deposits, with deposit minimums of just $10 when using Bitcoin. Payout options are slightly thinner, consisting of just money orders, transfers, checks, and cryptocurrencies. Register with BetOnline in 2025, and you can also claim a free bet welcome bonus worth $250 with zero playthrough requirements.
2. BetNow – Top Arkansas Sportsbook for Customized Player Props
- Welcome Offer: 100% up to $500
- Promo Code: BN100
BetNow is licensed in Anjouan and has provided Arkansas online sports betting, horse racing, and casino options since 2015. Compared to BetOnline, the site interface is dated, and it lacks the wealth of ongoing promotions and competitions. Regardless, BetNow provides competitive odds for around 11 sports markets and shines in several key areas, so we rank it highly.
Firstly, BetNow’s comprehensive coverage of the Big 4 U.S. leagues is best in class. You can wager on half and quarter lines for the NBA, bet on MLB game markets like the run line, total, or moneyline, put money on markets for NHL periods, and also bet on the Stanley Cup winner. BetNow also provides markets for international leagues, and you can place same-game parlays on clashes involving the biggest teams. The sportsbook also has a props builder that allows you to adjust game and player lines for the NBA, MLB, NHL, WNBA, and other top leagues.
Another unique perk of BetNow is the banking: this is one of the few offshore sportsbooks that enable deposits with PayPal. You can deposit as little as $20 and up to $2,000 with the popular e-wallet, but withdrawals aren’t supported. Credit and debit cards, cryptocurrencies, CashMG, Apple Pay, and Google Pay are further deposit options, and newcomers can claim a 100% welcome bonus worth up to $500 with card and MoneyGram deposits.
3. BetUS – An Interactive Arkansas Online Sportsbook Crammed Full of Competitions, Picks, & Tips
- Welcome Offer: 125% bonus on your first x3 bets
- Promo Code: JOIN125
BetUS is licensed in Mwali, Comoros Union, and has been available for sports betting in Arkansas and nationwide for over 30 years. It provides betting lines for around 25 sports, including state favorites like the MLB, NFL, NBA, golf, and NCAA football and basketball.
Looking at the Razorbacks’ NCAAF coverage, BetUS easily rivals BetOnline and BetNow. Players here can back the team to win the Southeastern Conference or the National Championship on the futures market; access upwards of 100 lines for pre-match and live betting, and gleam free picks and tips weekly courtesy of BetUS-TV and The Locker Room (blog). In addition, BetUS provides the most AR sports betting competitions on this list, with several college ball options listed, including Survivor Pools, Betting Squares, and School’s Out! (Christmas Bowl betting tournament).
Although not considered a genuine crypto betting site (BetUS accepts credit and debit card deposits), your best bet here is to transact using cryptocurrencies. This is because most welcome and reload offers are tied to crypto deposits, and payouts via bank transfers are relatively slow, taking up to 5 days to land in your account. Bet with crypto, however, and you can claim a 200% registration bonus of up to $2,750 using the AR sports betting promo code “JOIN200.” Notably, the main welcome offer of a 125% match on your first three deposits is available for card and crypto deposits.

College Football – Arkansas Razorbacks (Woo Pig Sooie!)
The Arkansas Razorbacks college football team is the unrivaled pride of the state. The Razorbacks haven’t won a National Championship since the undefeated (10-0) season of 1964. Still, they tend to go deep into the playoffs and have a steady bowl record of 18 wins and 24 losses, most recently defeating Texas Tech in the 2024 Liberty Bowl.
Our preferred Arkansas sports betting app for NCAA football is BetOnline. It generally provides the largest selection of lines and props, the sharpest odds, and select live streaming of regular- and post-season games is available.
College Basketball – Arkansas Razorbacks
Rivalling the popularity of their football-playing counterparts, the Arkansas Razorbacks college basketball team. The Razorbacks have won one National Championship, defeating Duke, 76-72, in 1994. The team is almost always competitive, though. For instance, last season (2024/25), the Razorbacks made it through two playoff rounds before exiting the tournament at the Sweet 16 stage vs. Texas Tech.
Our preferred option for online sports betting in Arkansas on college basketball is BetUS. Especially when the season begins to build to its climactic end during the playoffs, BetUS pulls out all the stops, including targeted March Madness promotions and competitions, free tips shows on BetUS-TV, and betting picks and advice over in the blog pages (The Locker Room).

Final Thoughts on Arkansas Sports Betting
Compared to other states, sports betting in Arkansas is a bit of a mixed bag. The fact that you can wager on in-state college teams and cast collegiate proposition wagers is a huge plus: most states with legal sports betting still don’t allow either bet type. However, with just three sportsbooks available, the banking choice is limited, niche international markets and esports are missing from the lineup, and the bonus offerings are below par.
That’s why our preferred pick among AR betting apps is BetOnline. It’s a casino, sportsbook, racebook, and poker site all rolled into one, allowing seamless access to all options to every registered member. Whether looking for alternate spreads for the Razorbacks on a Friday night, esports betting with live streaming, or wanting to wager Bitcoin on the next U.S. Presidential Election, BetOnline covers all bases. Sign up today, and you can claim a free sports bet worth up to $250 using the AR sports betting promo code “FREE250.”
