Konami Gaming, Inc has been awarded a license to operate in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), joining a growing number of suppliers who have been keen to step into the rapidly emerging market for commercial gaming.

A leading global provider of casino management systems and mobile casino games, Konami Gaming secured a Gaming-Related Vendor License by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), an independent entity of the UAE Federal Government with exclusive jurisdiction to regulate, license, and supervise all UAE commercial gaming activities.

What Other Gaming Companies Are In UAE?

Konami Gaming, Inc has become the 14th fully regulated and legitimate supplier of local gaming and online casino products to the UAE with more anticipated to arrive in future.

Just last week, Light & Wonder, a leading supplier of casino games and content, also revealed that it had been awarded a gaming-related vendor license by the GCGRA.

That will allow the company to offer its land-based electronic gaming machines, table games and utilities, and online casino content to operators in the UAE, joining the likes of Aristocrat, IGT and Novomati.

What does this mean for Konami Gaming?

It is a major step in a key market territory for Konami Gaming, Inc.

For over 25 years casino players have enjoyed Konami Gaming’s slot machines for the Class III gaming space, in which game outcomes are determined by random number generators.

The company has since expanded its world-famous casino entertainment to online gaming.

Tom Jingoli is the newly promoted president and chief operating officer who has served Konami for more than 20 years at the firm and he hailed this landmark move.

“Since Konami Gaming’s inception, our global growth has been achieved with an unwavering commitment to compliance,” Jingoli said.

“As the United Arab Emirates expands its economy to the regulated commercial gaming space, Konami is dedicated to supporting this market with the same integrity, innovation, and excellence we bring to all 431 gaming jurisdictions we serve worldwide.”
