Best New Mexico Sports Betting Sites & Apps 2025
New Mexico is unique in that it has legal sports betting despite there being no sports betting legislation passed in the history of the state. That’s because the state’s tribal gaming compacts allow “all forms of Class III Gaming” and according to federal regulations this means that the state’s tribal casinos can offer sports betting and pari-mutuel wagering.
As a result, on October 16th 2018, the Santa Ana Casino became the first gaming venue in New Mexico to accept sports bets following the Supreme Court ruling that the the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992 (PASPA) was unconstitutional.
This made New Mexico the sixth state to introduce some form of legal sports betting. Following this, the state lottery announced that it would allow players to make parlay bets on at least three sporting event results.
