Leading casino operator Bally’s Corporation (NYSE: BALY) has been awarded a temporary sports wagering permit for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The temporary permit, issued on 16th of March, allows Bally’s to offer online sports betting services and products within the state.
Virginia will become the 13th state that Bally’s will serve joining Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, New Jersey, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island.
In a press release, George Papanier, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bally’s Corporation said:
“Bally’s is pleased to receive the temporary sports wagering permit from the Virginia Lottery. This represents another step in our evolution to become the leading omnichannel gaming provider in the U.S., and we look forward to providing a first-class experience for sports fans across Virginia.”
Bally’s will become the eighth sportsbook operator in Virginia joining DraftKings, BetMGM, BetRivers, William Hill, WynnBet who launched just last week, and Golden Nugget who have just received approval to launch.
