LeoVegas Group has launched its proprietary Tiger sportsbook in the UK, deploying the platform across three of its brands: LeoVegas, BetUK and BetMGM. The launch is the fourth market rollout since Tiger debuted in Denmark.
The UK deployment follows earlier launches in Brazil and Sweden, according to iGaming Business. The phased rollout has extended for more than a year since the Denmark debut, with each market deployment providing feedback for further platform refinement.
Tiger is built on technology acquired from Tipico’s US sportsbook and casino platform in 2024. The acquisition brought LeoVegas the underlying technology as well as Tipico’s management and trading teams, accelerating the group’s move towards operating a proprietary sportsbook rather than building the capability entirely in-house.
LeoVegas Group has described the UK launch as a significant step in its two-year effort to build a proprietary sportsbook. The UK is one of the world’s most competitive regulated betting markets, and the rollout gives the group an opportunity to offer a product tailored to local player preferences and regulatory requirements.
Product Features and Local Tailoring
Tiger’s UK offering includes enhanced odds boosts, a partial cash-out function and a flexible combination-bet product known as flex combi. The features form part of an approach designed to adapt the sportsbook for UK customers and regulatory requirements rather than simply applying the same product in every market.
The launch takes place in a saturated and regulated UK sports-betting environment, where operators seek to differentiate their products through technology, pricing, features and user experience. Proprietary technology gives LeoVegas greater control over the development and adaptation of its sportsbook across markets.
MGM Resorts International has indicated that the Tipico-derived technology is intended to support LeoVegas Group’s international brands, with exceptions for territories exclusively tied to the BetMGM joint venture with Entain in North America. The UK rollout across LeoVegas, BetUK and BetMGM reflects that broader integration strategy.
