LIGA MX, Polymarket and Genius Sports (NYSE: GENI) announced on June 10, 2026 that Polymarket will become the official and exclusive prediction market partner of LIGA MX in the United States, with Genius Sports providing the official data and integrity infrastructure underpinning the arrangement.
Under the agreement, Genius Sports’ GeniusIQ platform – which operates across every LIGA MX stadium – will serve as the authoritative settlement source for LIGA MX contracts on Polymarket, meaning markets resolve against verified league data rather than third-party or crowd-sourced results. The partnership spans all LIGA MX competitions in the US territory, including Campeón de Campeones, the annual showpiece between the Apertura and Clausura champions, scheduled for July 25, 2026, in Carson, California.
Polymarket will also adhere to Genius Sports’ integrity information-sharing processes, giving LIGA MX greater visibility into related market activity. That arrangement sits alongside Polymarket’s existing integrity infrastructure: on-chain monitoring with Chainalysis and a sports integrity platform built with Palantir Technologies and TWG AI. The layered approach signals the degree to which integrity monitoring architecture has become a prerequisite for official league partnerships, not an optional extra.
Executives on the record
José Romano, FMF’s Commercial VP, said the Polymarket partnership offered an opportunity to deepen engagement with LIGA MX’s US fanbase through new digital experiences while preserving the integrity standards central to the league’s competitions.
Ari Borod, President of Sports Business Development at Polymarket, said LIGA MX ranked among the most widely followed football leagues in the world, and that Genius Sports’ data and integrity infrastructure provided the foundation of trust the league and its fans deserved.
Mark Locke, CEO of Genius Sports, said the company was proud to supply the official data and integrity infrastructure powering transparent prediction markets around LIGA MX competitions, adding that the collaboration reflected the growing importance of verified official data to both product quality and sports integrity.
Prediction markets push toward official frameworks
The deal marks another step in Polymarket’s effort to build its US sports offering on formally licensed data and official league relationships. Polymarket US operates as a CFTC-regulated designated contract market under the Commodity Exchange Act, a status that distinguishes its product from unregulated prediction platforms and frames the commercial logic for league-grade data partnerships. The question of how prediction market licensing frameworks develop across jurisdictions remains live, but the US trajectory is increasingly clear: official data, integrity sharing, and regulatory compliance are converging as the baseline for legitimate sports prediction products.
Polymarket has faced its own regulatory headwinds in other markets – including a legal challenge over its ban in France – making the structured, league-endorsed model it is building in the US strategically important. LIGA MX markets will be available to eligible US users from the start of the 2026-27 season, which launches in July 2026.
